Polish, Russian leaders hold consultations in Warsaw

Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Titov and the Polish Undersecretary of State Konrad Pawlik held working consultations here on Monday.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and the security situation in Ukraine.

"Despite the difference of our views, we consider the stable, peaceful settlement of the situation in the south-eastern part of Ukraine as a priority. We count on the constructive attitude of the Russian Federation in this matter," said Pawlik.

He underlined Poland's will to continue cooperation with Russia in fields such as economy, culture and society.

Both sides agreed on holding the consultations on a deputy-minister level every half year.

Polish and Russian foreign ministers last met in December 2013, when a "Program 2020 in Polish-Russian relations" declaration was signed. Endit
