BiH political parties agree on make-up of state government

Political parties, which formed majority on state level in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), on Sunday agreed on composition of Council of Ministers (CoM), the weak state-level government.

According to the agreement, parties from entity Republic of Srpska (RS) will have three ministers including that of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Foreign Affairs and Security.

Meanwhile, Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) will also have three ministers, including that of Finance, Defence and Justice.

Beside the position of Chairman of Council of Ministers, the center-right Bosniak-Muslim Party of Democratic Action (SDA) will get ministers of Civilian Affairs as well as Human Rights and Refugee.

The center-left Democratic Front (DF) will have the position of Minister of Transport and Communications (MoTC).

After the general elections on Oct. 12, 2014, the four parties won enough seats to form majority on state level in BiH.

On Sunday, SDA, HDZ and DF continued talks on composition of more important entity level government of Federation of BiH. The other entity, the RS, has already formed its own government. Enditem
