Meares wins record 11th world cycling title

Australian Anna Meares set a new record by winning her 11th world title at the world track cycling championships on Sunday.

With her win in the women's keirin, the 31-year-old beat the women's mark she had shared with Frenchwoman Felicia Ballanger.

It was also her 25th world championship medal.

Shanne Braspennincx of the Netherlands took silver while Cuba's Lisandra Guerra had bronze. Endi
