At least 6 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack in a market of the northeast Nigerian town of Potiskum on Sunday, witnesses told Xinhua.

The female suicide bomber detonated a bomb attached to her body at the checkpoint to the market, killing herself and 5 others and wounding dozens, witnesses said. (Nigeria-Bomber)

ISLAMABAD -- An eight-year-old boy was killed and eight others injured when a bomb went off in a market area in Pakistan's northwest Chaman district on Sunday afternoon, local media reported.

ARY News said that the bomb exploded in the parking lot of a busy market at Taj Road of Chaman, a district located in the country's southwest Balochistan province. (Pakistan-Blast)

DHAKA -- At least 29 bodies were recovered and an estimated 40 others were still missing after a ferry sank on Sunday afternoon in the middle of a river in Bangladesh's northwestern Manikganj district, 40 km northwest of Dhaka.

KIEV -- An explosion killed three people and injured 10 others during a march in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Sunday afternoon, the Interfax news agency reported.

The explosion was caused by an explosive device thrown from a passing car into the crowd marching in procession to mark the first anniversary of the regime change. (Ukraine-Blast)

KIEV -- The Ukrainian government and the pro-independence insurgents have agreed to withdraw their heavy weapons from the front line in eastern Ukraine over the next two weeks.

TRIPOLI -- A device exploded outside of the Iranian ambassador's residence in the Libyan capital Tripoli on Sunday, but no casualties were reported, according to a security source.
