Colombian police seizes 260 kilos of cocaine

Xinhua, February 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Colombian police seized on Tuesday 260 kilograms of cocaine in the country's central department of Cundinamarca.

The drugs were hidden in a truck carrying self-made UN emblems and fake diplomatic license plates when it was stopped by police after a chase.

According to a police report, the driver, who had a history of drug trafficking, was arrested at the scene. The seized cocaine was intended to be taken from southern Colombia to the capital city of Bogota for distribution.

Colombia is one of the world's largest producers of cocaine. It seized dozens of tons of drugs last year. Endi
