Former Zhejiang official probed for corruption

Si Xinliang, a former senior official in east China's Zhejiang Province, has been put under investigation for "suspected serious discipline and law violations", the Communist Party of China's discipline watchdog announced on Monday.

The phrase "suspected serious discipline and law violations" is Chinese shorthand for violations including corruption.

Si was formerly vice chairman of the Zhejiang provincial committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Endi
