Evergreen Jimenez surges to lead Thailand Classic

Miguel Angel Jimenez, 51 and the oldest player in the Thailand Classic, had 11 birdies to take a lead here on Friday.

The Spaniard posted a 66 for the day and 133 overall, one shot ahead of host golfer Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

Placed joint third with 135 were Richard T. Lee of Canada, Scott Hend of Australia and Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand. Endi
