Xinhua, February 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks opened slightly lower early Friday as a stronger yen weighed down export-related shares.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 39.71 points, or 0.22 percent, from Thursday to 17,940.01. But the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 1.30 points, or 0.09 percent, to 1,450.69.
