Chinese film week launched in Benin

Director for the Chinese Cultural Center in Benin, Bai Guangming, on Wednesday launched the Chinese Film Week on Beninese public broadcasters, Benin Radiodiffusion and Television (ORTB) and Ado TV.

"We are launching the Chinese Film Week to enable all Beninese citizens to be culturally close to China through the broadcast of Chinese films on ORTB and Ado TV for a whole week," he said.

The event will also serve as an occasion for the Beninese to share with China the joy and happiness of the New Year and rediscover hope for the continued development of both nations.

Deputy director for Benin Film Board, Mathias, said film is the most ideal vector for exchange of culture.

The Chinese Film Week in Benin is part of festivities to mark the Chinese New Year which is set to begin on Feb. 19, 2015. Endi
