Sydney men arrested for alleged beheading plot

Xinhua, February 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Two Sydney men have been arrested over an alleged terror plot after police suspected a public beheading was being organized, and the men will appear in court later on Wednesday.

News Corporation reported Australia's Joint Counter Terrorism Taskforce arrested the men on Tuesday and seized a hunting knife, flag and other items during a raid on a property.

Police will hold a press conference about the allegations later on Wednesday morning.

The arrests follow a 17-hour siege in a Sydney CBD cafe in mid- December which left two hostages and the gunman who staged the siege dead. Endi
