Vietnam participates in Asian cycling champs

Vietnam's cycling team participated in the Asian Cycling Championship 2015 which kicked off on Tuesday in Thailand, according to local Vietnam News daily.

The 14-strong team included male veterans Le Van Duan, Trinh Duc Tam and Nguyen Thanh Tam, and female veterans Nguyen Thi That, Nguyen Thuy Dung and Phan Thi Lieu.

Among them, Thi That won a silver medal at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea in 2014.

More than 400 racers from 41 countries and regions are competing in the event which will finish on Saturday.

This year's tournament will provide a chance for Vietnam and other Southeast Asian nations to prepare for the upcoming 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Singapore in June, according to the Vietnam Cycling Federation which was quoted in the report. Endi
