Singapore stocks close 0.39 pct lower

Singapore's stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 13.34 points, or 0.39 percent, to close at 3,418.02.

A total of 1.08 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 04 billion Singapore dollars (782 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 268 to 157, while 512 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 24.78 points, or 0.73 percent, to close at 3,431.36 on Friday. Endi
