Australian man dies in shark attack

Xinhua, February 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

A man died on Monday morning after being attacked by a shark on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Police said ambulance crews attempted to revive the person on the sand at Shelly Beach near Ballina but he was pronounced dead.

Local lifeguards are searching the area for the shark and the beach has been closed.

The fatality followed another shark attack of a surfer at a nearby beach over the weekend.

In September last year, Paul Wilcox, 50, was killed by a shark on nearby Clarkes Beach, Byron Bay. Endit
