Croatian top officials attend Chinese Lunar New Year celebration

Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and the president of parliament Josip Leso attended the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration held at Lisinski concert hall in Zagreb on Saturday.

About 2,000 people, including former president Stjepan Mesic and other officials attended the celebration, which organized by the Chinese embassy to Croatia.

The audiences were entertained by Chinese traditional dances and acrobatic performance displayed by actors from Dalian Acrobatic Troupe.

Deng Ying, Chinese ambassador to Croatia, said bilateral relations between China and Croatia have witnessed many achievements during last year.

"With great confidence and expectations I look forward to 2015, the year of goat, that the cooperation between both counties will developed further in all fields," she added.

She aslo wished the year of goat brought luck, fortune and prosperity to the Croatian people. Endit
