Singapore stocks close 0.45 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 15. 33 points, or 0.45 percent, to close at 3,408.02.

A total of 1.25 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 23 billion Singapore dollars (911 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners led gainers 226 to 210, with 500 others unchanged.

The STI index gained 32.15 points, or 0.95 percent, to close at 3,423.35 on Monday. Endi
