4 soldiers killed in NW Pakistan's blast

Xinhua, February 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least four soldiers were killed and several others injured when a convoy of security forces came under attack in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Kurram Agency on Tuesday, local media reported.

ARY News said that the convoy was targeted by a roadside planted bomb when it was passing by Warmagai area of Kurram Agency, one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal regions along Pakistan- Afghanistan border.

The injured troops were shifted to a nearby hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

This was the second attack on security forces in Pakistan on Tuesday.

Earlier in the morning, two paramilitary troopers were injured when a bomb went off near a security check post in the country's southern port city of Karachi. Endi
