Xinhua, February 2, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks fell 0.54 percent in the morning session of Monday, as the weaker-than-expected U.S. economy growth data in the fourth quarter of 2014 undermined market sentiment.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 94.61 points, from Friday to 17,579.78.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 8.16 points, or 0.58 percent, at 1,406. 91.

Major decliners included glass and ceramics, airlines and rubber issues. Endi
