LME base metals close higher on Friday

The base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed mostly higher on Friday.
Base metals prices rose on Friday on strong retail sales in Germany and good consumption data from France.
German retail sales increased in 2014 by 1.4 percent, the strongest growth in the past four years, official data showed on Friday.
French households consumption of goods rebounded in December with a 1.5 percent growth in December 2014 after a tepid growth of 0.2 percent a month earlier, data also showed.
The three-month unofficial copper price increased 70 U.S. dollars, or 1.30 percent, to 5,472.5 U.S. dollars per tonne.
The three-month unofficial aluminium price increased 28.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.56 percent, to 1,851 U.S. dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial lead price increased 13.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.73 percent, to 1,861.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.
Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price increased 28 U.S. dollars, or 1.34 percent, to 2,119 U.S. dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 25 U.S. dollars, or 0.17 percent, to 14,862.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial tin price stood at 19,175 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
