The underwater search for the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is expected to be completed by May, an official of Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation (DCA)said in a technical briefing Friday.

DCA Flight Operations Assistance Director Capt. Mior Nor Badrishah Mohamad said that the weather condition will be very challenging for the search after May, as the waves could be very big in the region. (Malaysia-MH370)

MANILA -- Two soldiers were injured on Friday afternoon in an ambush launched by Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in south Philippine province of Sulu, said military officials.

The ambush happened at 1:30 p.m. local time at Patikul town, when ASG sprayed bullets to troops of the 35th infantry battalion in a convoy of vehicles, according to Harold Cabunoc, public affairs office chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). (The Philippines-Ambush)

ISLAMABAD -- At least 35 people were killed and over 50 others injured as a blast hit a Shia Mosque in Pakistan's southern district of Shikarpur on Friday afternoon, officials said.

Deputy Commissioner of the district, Hadi Bakhsh, said that 35 bodies and over 50 wounded people are present at hospitals of three cities in the region.(Pakistan-Blast)
