Singapore police seizes fake phones, accessories in raids

Singapore police seized about 12, 900 counterfeit phones and accessories in raids on 16 shops in a local district, it said on Friday.

The seized counterfeit phones and accessories have an estimated street value of 600,000 Singapore dollars (444,444 U.S. dollars).

Eleven suspects were arrested in the raids on Wednesday. Investigations are ongoing.

Persons found guilty of selling or distributing infringing goods with falsely applied trademarks may be fined up to 100,000 Singapore dollars (74,074 U.S. dollars), or jailed up to five years, or both. Endi
