Irving's 55 lift Cavs past Blazers

Kyrie Irving scored a career-high 55 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers their eighth straight win 99-94 on the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

Lebron James was sidelined with a sprained right wrist. Irving buried a 3-pointer with 6.4 seconds left to break a 94-94 tie and dropped two free throws with 2.1 seconds remaining to seal the win.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 38 to lead the Trail Blazers. Lillard added 14 on just 4 of 19 shooting and Wesley Matthews finished with 11 points. Nicolas Batum and Chris Kaman each contributed 7. Endi
