French stock market index down 0.29 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a slight decrease of 0.29 percent to close at 4,610.94 points on Wednesday, down 13.27 points.

The CAC 40 closed lower due to the sink of Greek stock market. By closing, 17 of the 40 selected companies experienced decrease.

Wednesday's top three gainers were Alcatel-Lucent, up 3.44 percent, Renault, up 1.91 percent, and Valeo, up 1.76 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Wednesday were BNP Parisbas, down 2.75 percent, Societe Generale, down 2.75 percent, and Credit Agricole, down 1.82 percent.

In previous trading day, Jan. 27, the CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 1.09 percent to close at 4,624.21 points, down 50.92 points. Enditem
