French stock market index down 1.09 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 1.09 percent to close at 4,624.21 points on Tuesday, down 50.92 points.

Affected by the decline of the American market, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease. At closing, 32 of the 40 selected companies experienced decrease, while Orange stayed the same as previous trading day.

Tuesday's top three gainers were Technip, up 0.76 percent, EDF, up 0.52 percent, and AXA, up 0.43 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Tuesday were Vinci, down 3.53 percent, Unibail-Rodamco, down 2.82 percent, and Legrand, down 5.61 percent.

In previous trading day, Jan. 26, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.74 percent to close at 4,675.13 points, up 34.44 points. Endit
