Albania condemns deadly attack on eastern Ukraine city

Xinhua, January 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

The foreign ministry of Albania (MFA) has strongly condemned the heavy artillery attack on the city of Mariupol in eastern Ukraine, Albanian Telegraphic Agency reported on Sunday.

Rebels announced a major new offensive in Ukraine on Saturday after missiles killed at least 30 people in Mariupol.

"The MFA is deeply concerned that such criminal actions exacerbate the humanitarian situation in eastern Ukraine and contribute to the further escalation of the conflict," stated the press release issued by MFA.

The MFA expressed its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and all the people of Ukraine.

The MFA also urged those who committed such acts to immediately stop military actions and fully engage in the unconditional implementation of the Minsk agreements, in order to restore peace in Ukraine. Enditem
