Morocco to play Uruguay friendly in March

Xinhua, January 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

Moroccan will play a soccer friendly with Uruguay on March 28, announced the Moroccan football federation on Sunday.

The match will be played in Agadir, the resort on the Atlantic coast.

Morocco has cancelled a friendly match with Brazil which was scheduled to take place next March in Agadir.

According to local media reports, the match was canceled because the President of the Moroccan Royal Football Federation, Fouzi Lakjaa, had refused to pay the four million U.S. dollars needed for the coming of the Brazilian team.

The friendly match with Uruguay will be part of the Moroccan national team's preparations for the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers.

Morocco, in their previous friendly games under coach Badou Zaki since may 2014, won five, drew one and lost two. Endi
