U.S. and partner-nation military forces have conducted a total of 23 airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) forces in Syria and Iraq over the past two days, the U.S. Defense Department said on Wednesday.

According to a DOD statement, 13 airstrikes were conducted near Kobani, Abu Kamal and Raqqah in Syria, destroying nine IS tactical units, eight IS staging positions, 13 IS fighting positions and two IS vehicles, an IS weapon cache and an IS guard facility, the statement said. (U.S.-Airstrike)

BUCHAREST -- Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday hailed the ruling of the Supreme Court which dismissed the incompatibility charge against him filed by the National Integrity Agency (ANI).

According to the Presidential Administration, the head of state has been confident since the beginning about not being in a position of incompatibility.

The president reaffirmed his confidence in the professionalism and independence of the Judiciary and recommended all politicians promptly answer the demands of the justice system. (Romania-President-Incompatibility)

TRIPOLI -- Libya's Islamist-backed parliament General National Congress (GNC) decided on Wednesday to suspend its participation in the UN-sponsored political dialogue until further notice due to the escalation of military operations in the eastern city of Benghazi.

"The Congress has discussed for hours the escalation of military operations, specifically in Benghazi, the latest of which is General Haftar's forces on Wednesday robbing Benghazi branch of the Central Bank of Libya," Omar Hemidan, spokesman of the expired General National Congress told Xinhua. SANAA -- Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Wednesday agreed to meet demands of the Shiite Houthi group after negotiations to resolve the current political crisis, official Saba news agency reported.

According to the deal nailed at a meeting between Hadi, his advisors and Houthi representatives on Wednesday, the government agreed to amend the draft constitution to meet the demands of all political parties, Saba reported. (Yemen-Peace Deal) Endi
