French stock market index up 1.61 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.61 percent to close at 4,446.02 points on Tuesday, up 51.09 points.

Investors are assured that China's economy realised a soft landing. At closing, 31 of the 40 selected companies gained advance.

Tuesday's top three gainers were Societe Generale, up 4.26 percent, ArcelorMittal, up 3.30 percent, and Alstom, up 3.10 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Tuesday were Technip, down 1.18 percent, Safran, down 0.77 percent, and Lafarge, down 0.62 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.35 percent to close at 4,394.93 points, up 15.31 points. Endite
