At least six people were killed and four others injured when a U.S. drone pounded a hideout of suspected militants in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of North Waziristan on Monday morning, local media reported.

Express TV said that the drone fired two missiles at the militants' hideout located in Shawal area of North Waziristan, a restive tribal area at Pakistan-Afghanistan border. (Pakistan- Drone-Attack)

SEOUL -- South Korea plans to conduct joint annual military exercises with the United States this year as scheduled despite the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) call for suspension, Seoul's Defense Ministry said Monday in its annual report to President Park Geun-hye.

The "Key Resolve" command post exercise and the "Foal Eagle" field training drill will be staged in early March as planned, together with the "Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG)" computer-assisted simulation exercise, which tends to kick off in mid-August. (S. Korea-DPRK-Military Drills)

NEW DELHI -- Police Monday summoned for questioning India's former junior Foreign Minister Shashi Tharoor in connection with the mysterious death of his wife at a five-star hotel in the national capital last year.

"Tharoor has been asked to join the investigation and will be questioned in a day or two. Tharoor is out of town and will be back by Tuesday evening. We will either be questioning him tomorrow or day after," Delhi Police chief B.S. Bassi told the media. (India-Politician-Wife-Death)

DHAKA -- About a fortnight after erecting barricades around Bangladeshi ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's office in Dhaka's diplomatic enclave Gulshan, Bangladesh Police early Monday removed all of the barriers.
