The Houston Rockets lost to the Golden State Warriors 106-131 on Saturday night at the Toyota Center, and this is the third game the Rockets have lost to the Warriors this season.
There is no doubt that the Rockets should blame James Harden for his poor performance on the night. As the NBA's leading scorer, Harden scored just 12 points. But Dwight Howard, who missed the first two games against the Warriors, led the Rockets with 23 points and 10 rebounds. His teammates Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith scored 14 points each.
For the Warriors, it is Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson who helped the team to the win over the Rockets, the two each scoring 27 points.
The Warriors had a successful tactic on Saturday night by defending Harden very well. In the first quarter, the Rockets and the Warriors had the same score of 31 points, but the visiting team outscored the Rockets by 33-28 in the second quarter. Although the Rockets were desperate to try to win the game, they never pulled it back in the third and fourth quarters.
The Rockets, unfortunately, had 17 turnovers while the Warriors enjoyed 14.
Currently, the Rockets have had 28 wins and 13 losses. Endi
