Kuwait held Oman 0-0 in the first half of their AFC Asian Cup Group A match here on Saturday.

Kuwait almost broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, as Faisal Zayed Alharbi's shot from close range went wide after he received a good pass from right winger Abdullah Al Buraiki.

Kuwait then went close to scoring again several times, while Oman failed to create any chances in the first half.
