Spanish La Liga team Granada on Friday sacked coach Joaquin Caparros, two days after being knocked out of the Spanish Cup by Sevilla.

Reserve team coach Joseba Aguado has taken over the team on an interim basis ahead of Sunday's trip to Atletico Madrid, the club said on their official website.

Caparros took over the reins at the beginning of the season, having previously coached Villarreal, Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao.

Granada are second from bottom in La Liga after 18 matches. Endi
