Chinese, Monacan leaders exchange congratulations on anniversary of ties

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Monaco's head of state Prince Albert II on Friday exchanged congratulatory messages on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their two countries.
In his congratulatory message, Xi said that relations between China and Monaco have developed well since the two countries established diplomatic ties 20 years ago.
With concerted efforts made by both sides, mutual political trust between the two countries has kept consolidating, bilateral cooperation in various fields has developed rapidly, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges have become increasingly close, Xi said.
The two countries support each other in international affairs, setting a paradigm of mutual respect, equal treatment and harmonious coexistence between big and small countries, Xi said.
The Chinese president said that he highly values the development of China-Monaco ties and is willing to work together with Prince Albert II to constantly expand and deepen friendly contacts and cooperation in various fields between the two countries, in that the two countries will exploit their respective advantages to achieve win-win results and promote bilateral ties to higher levels.
Prince Albert II said that the Monaco-China ties have kept consolidating and developing since the two countries established diplomatic ties, and that the mutually beneficial cooperation between Monaco and China has been very brisk in such fields as culture, education, sports and economy.
Prince Albert II believed that celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties will further enhance friendship between the two countries and promote bilateral pragmatic cooperation toward the achievement of more fruitful results. Endi
