Over 20 missing after boat sinks in Yangtze River

More than 20 people, including seven or eight foreigners are still missing after a tug boat sank in the Yangtze River in east China's Jiangsu Province Thursday, local authorities said Friday morning.

Singaporean and Japanese nationals are confirmed among the missing people and a Frenchman may also be lost. They are the owner of and technicians working on the boat, which was on a trial voyage when the accident happened Thursday afternoon.

So far, three have been saved and the search and rescue mission is still underway.
