Singapore stocks close 0.38 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 12.68 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 3,338.84.

A total of 1.28 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 06 billion Singapore dollars (848 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 223 to 218, while 503 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 14.91 points, or 0.45 percent, to close at 3, 326.16 on Wednesday. Endi
