Dollar trades in mid-117 yen range in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the mid- 117 yen range early Thursday morning in Tokyo deals, slightly higher from its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 117.45-53 yen compared with 117.29-39 yen in New York and 117.08-09 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The euro fetched 1.1783-1785 dollars and 138.39-41 yen against 1.1784-1794 dollars and 138.27-37 yen in New York and 1.1799-1801 dollars and 138.15-19 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Endi
