S. African president to woo investors at int'l economic forum

South African President Jacob Zuma will market his country as an attractive and reliable investment destination as well as a development partner at the upcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, the Presidency said on Wednesday.

Zuma is to lead a delegation of cabinet ministers and business leaders to the WEF, scheduled for January 20-24 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, presidential spokesman Mac Maharaj said.

The areas of investment that the South African delegation will be marketing include mining and beneficiation, agro-processing, industrial infrastructure, tourism, healthcare, manufacturing, and information and communication technology, Maharaj said in a statement.

The WEF annual meeting brings together world leaders from business, government, international organizations, academia and civil society in Davos to discuss the global economy.

The theme of this year's WEF meeting is "The New Global Context. "

The WEF has invited a large contingent of business people who will interact with global business executives in the pursuit of partnerships and opportunities. Endi
