Chinese man charged for attempted bus bombing

Xinhua, January 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

A Chinese man in his 70s has been charged for a botched attempt to bomb a bus in Zhejiang Province, local prosecutors said on Tuesday.

The defendant, Wang, set off a grenade on a bus in the city of Jinhua, but the out-of-date explosive only caused a minor explosion that hurt nobody and caused no damage, the prosecutors said.

More than 10 passengers who were on the bus at the time helped police catch the defendant.

The prosecutors claimed Wang decided to bomb the bus because he was angry that on several occasions the drive had not stopped the bus right in the stop.

The prosecutors said Wang's action jeopardized public security even if it did not cause any damage. Endi
