A new vessel has been brought in to help the international search for missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 -- after a 10-month operation has so far found no remains of the aircraft.
Acting Australian Prime Minister Warren Truss said on Tuesday that the Fugro Supporter was on its way to the West Australian coast to join three other vessels in the search, after it had recently completed trials in Bali.(Australia-MH370 Search)

JAKARTA -- The cockpit voice recorder of crashed AirAsia flight QZ8501 was retrieved on Tuesday from sea and was on board an Indonesian navy ship bound for capital Jakarta for analysis, local press reported.
The black box was detected and lifted from the sea near the location where the flight data recorder was retrieved a day ago.( Indonesia-AirAsia Flight)

TOKYO -- Japan posted a current account surplus of 433.0 billion yen (3.63 billion U.S. dollars) in November 2014, marking the fifth consecutive month in black ink, government data showed Tuesday.
According to the Finance Ministry, exports in the period were up 10.8 percent on year to 6,322.1 billion yen thanks to a weaker yen, but imports rose only 2.2 percent to 6,959.0 billion yen, bringing the goods trade deficit to 636.8 billion yen, down 42.4 percent from a year earlier.(Japan-Current Account Surplus)

TOKYO -- Japan and China hold the fourth round of talks in Tokyo on maritime crisis management mechanism Monday, with both countries agreeing to launch it as soon as possible once a broad agreement is reached.
