Palmeiras secure loan for Henan Jianye striker

Xinhua, January 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Eight-time Brazilian champions Palmeiras on Monday announced the signing of Rafael Marques on loan from China's Henan Jianye.

The 31-year-old will be tied to Palmeiras until December, the Sao Paulo outfit said on its official website.

He is the 11th signing made by coach Oswaldo de Oliveira since he joined the club last month.

Monday's announcement reunites Marques with Oliveira, who was the forward's coach at Botafogo in 2012 and 2013.

Marques, who played 13 matches for Palmeiras in 2004, scored four goals in 21 matches for Henan Jianye last year. Endi
