French stock market climbs 1.81 pct on Monday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 rebounded by 1.18 percent to close at 4,228.24 points on Monday, up 49.17 points.

At closing, 32 of the 40 selected companies gained advance.

Monday's top three gainers were LVMH, up 3.33 percent, Bouygues, up 3.29 percent, and Orange, up 3.01 percent.

The three companies which lost most today were Technip, down 3.97 percent, ArcelorMittal, down 2.50 percent, and Alcatel-Lucent, down 2.46 percent.

In the previous trading day, Jan. 9, the CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 1.90 percent to close at 4,179.07 points, down 81.12 points. Endit
