Senior CPC official meets Finnish party leader

Xinhua, January 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Liu Yunshan met with Chairman of the Finnish Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Finnish Finance Minister Antti Rinne on Monday, vowing to boost closer exchanges between the two parties.

The CPC hopes to share governance experience with the SDP, which will further develop the China-Finland new cooperation partnership, said Liu, a Standing Committee member of the CPC Central Committee's Political Bureau.

He briefed Rinne on the CPC's governance philosophy as well as China's economic and social development.

The "One Belt, One Road" initiative, which is also known as the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, will be an open, inclusive and pragmatic project, Liu said, which will be favorable to the common development of China and the world.

Rinne, in his turn, hailed China's achievements in its economic and social development, and pledged to boost dialogue and exchanges between the SDP and the CPC, and promote substantial bilateral cooperation in various areas.

Earlier in the day, Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held talks with Rinne. Endi
