3 killed, 4 missing as boat overturns in northern Turkey lake

At least three people were killed and 4 others missing on Sunday after a boat overturned due to bad weather in a lake in northern Turkey, private Dogan News Agency reported.

Five fishermen and two children fell to the Gici Lake in Samsun province of Turkey's Black Sea region despite bad weather conditions, according to the report.

"The boat with seven people overturned because of a storm," Samsun Governor Ibrahim Sahin was quoted as saying, adding that the fishermen were warned on bad weather, but they insisted for sailing.

Turkish rescue and emergency teams have found the bodies of three fishermen and they continue to search for the survivors, Endit
