Rockets roll over Jazz to 3rd straight win

Xinhua, January 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Houston Rockets rallied past the Utah Jazz 97-82 Saturday night at Toyota Center to their third consecutive victory.

The Rockets had a tight first quarter with the Jazz and tied the match to 23. They took advantage of Utah's turnovers in the second quarter and made several runs to establish a double-figure lead by halftime.

The Rockets played even better in the third quarter and once enlarged the gap to 21 points, entering the final period 78-57. The Jazz struggled to cut the deficit and narrowed it to just nine points. But Houston didn't let the chances slip away and held on to the final win.

Five Rockets players finished the game with double-digit scoring, including James Harden who had 30 points with five assists and Donatas Motiejunas who added 14 points with 10 rebounds.

Trey Burke and Enes Kanter both scored 16 points for Utah while Derrick Favors had 15 points. The team also had a staggering number of turnovers -- 31 in total. Endi
