The lava flow crossed a road at 3:50 a.m. Saturday morning, Oct. 25, 2014. Dozens of residents in Pahoa--a rural area of Hawaii's Big Island--are preparing for evacuations as flowing lava from Kilauea, an erupting volcano, continued to advance. Kilauea volcano has been erupting continuously since 1983. [Photo/USGS]
