Ancient stone coffin cluster unearthed in NW China.

A cluster of 12 ancient tombs with stone coffins inside were discovered in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which archaeologists say might date back to 2,500 years ago.

The tombs were exposed after recent floods slammed a cliff in Qiemo County, 1,200 km south to Xinjiang's capital Urumqi, said Wang Bo with the Xinjiang Museum, who is in charge of the excavation.

Along with mummies found inside the coffins, a large quantity of relics, including red ceramic and bronze mirrors and knives, were unearthed.
