Magnitude 5.1 Earthquake Jolts SW China

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture of southwest China's Yunnan Province Thursday noon, according to the China Earthquake Administration (CEA).

The earthquake occurred at 12:56 PM. Its epicenter was 25.4 degrees north latitude and 101.9 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 16 kilometers. There is no instant report of casualties.
