World Media Summit to Open in Beijing

About 300 representatives from more than 170 media outlets from around the globe gathered in Beijing Friday to attend the World Media Summit.

The opening ceremony of the summit is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM at the Great Hall of the People in central Beijing, and Chinese President Hu Jintao will deliver a speech to the delegates from wire services, radio and television broadcasters, newspapers and magazines, and on-line media.
