Preliminary clinical trial has shown an A/H1N1 influenza vaccine developed in China was "safe and effective" on humans, SINOVAC Biotech Company, a Beijing-based pharmaceutical company, said on Tuesday.

The company said this was the world's first A/H1N1 flu vaccine that has completed preliminary trials.
