A bomb-threatened Afghan plane arrived in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Monday night after the security threat was cleared.
The plane, belonging to the private company Kam Air, returned to Afghanistan after being denied landing in Urumqi on Sunday because of a bomb threat.
"Security check shows there is no bomb on the plane," President of Kam Air, Zamarai Kamgar, told Xinhua. He also urged the Afghan security authority to investigate the incident completely.
The Boeing-767 plane carried 168 passengers, including five Chinese.
It took off from Kabul at 8:10 PM on Monday (Beijing Time) and arrived in Urumqi safely at 11:40 PM.
