HK, Sichuan Sign Reconstruction Deal

Hong Kong and Sichuan signed a new agreement on Monday to aid the reconstruction of quake-hit Sichuan Province.
Hong Kong Chief Secretary Henry Tang and Sichuan Executive Vice-Governor Wei Hong attended the signing ceremony in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.
The new deal involves 32 aid projects, including a road construction plan, six medical initiatives and 25 rehabilitation centres for the disabled. The deal is worth about 2.8 billion Hong Kong dollars.
Earlier, Henry Tang led a delegation to Wenchuan and Deyang, two affected areas in Sichuan and inspected Hong Kong-sponsored aid projects there.
